Congratulations, Dr. Cameryn Lacey

Lacey, Ph.D., after receiving her Doctorate of Nursing Practice in Nurse-Midwifery from Columbia University last weekend. Dr. Cameryn Lacey finished the semester with a 4.0 GPA, making her cumulative Doctoral GPA, a 4.0! She graciously thanked her family and village for supporting and pushing her to accomplish her dream. Dr. Lacey shared on her Facebook page some little known information: Black Midwives make up only 7% of the total Certified Nurse-Midwives in the United States. If you’re lucky, you might run into Dr. Cameryn Lacey this summer at NYP-Hudson Valley Hospital where she will be finishing her last rotation of clinicals. Congratulations, Dr. Cam!
